The State Examination Results are still the talk of Bulape. So far the results show only six students passed the examinations. Some more results were released today. I did not see the new reports. Justin, the headmaster of the girls school, said none of his students passed. The schools teaches high school level typing, sewing, and other vocational skills. We had a meeting with the key leaders of the Bulape Medical Center which includes the hospital, health zone, and nursing school. The majority of our resources and attention had been focus on the hospital. During the questions portion of meeting, there was a big discussion on support to the nursing school. In summary, the headmaster (Joseph) of the nursing school wanted us to include them with the other primary and secondary schools. I reluctantly agreed in principle so help end the conversation. But it continued on and on. Finally, it was halted by Doctor Joseph. After the meeting, Justin and headmaster Joseph continued the discussion along road back toward the guest house. Obviously, I had missed the a point about the need for scholarships to university nursing students. Headmaster Joseph wanted to use scholarships as an instrument to recruit better teachers for the nursing school. He repeatedly said he needed 'qualified' teachers
