It is a silly analogy to the game of baseball but it is the truth. One of out five children will not reach their fifth birthday. The team called Team Extreme Poverty consist of preventable and treatable diseases. They are out to get the mother and children. On the black-hatted team is malaria, diarrhea, malnutrition, starvation, and many more diseases you take for grant.
This mother and newborn are fortunate. They live near one of the 28 rural health clinics of the Bualpe Health Zone. Also, Congo Helping Hands will be freely giving out insecticide treated nets to prevent malaria.
