A training skelton should resemble a human skelton as much as possible. This teaching aid used by the Bulape Nursing School has a few missing parts and limbs.
The Bulape Medical Center includes the hospital, the health zone administration, and a nursing school. The Bulape Nursing School is physically adjacent to Bulape Hospital.
The school has the capacity to train about 60 students in a 2-year or 4-year nursing program. Trained nurses work in the hospital and the health clinics of Bulape Health Zone.
The health zone includes about 28 village health clinics. They provide the only medical care in these rural areas. Some of the clinics are located great distances, up to 70 miles, away from the hospital.
The clinics are staffed by one or two nurses. They have to rely under their training. In addition, they are not well equiped with medicines or medical supplies.
I have been unable to support the nursing school with needed training aids. Medical training aids are difficult to find as donations. Also, they are expensive to purchase new.
Medical textbooks and materials are even more difficult to find as donations. Because the textbooks and materials need to be in the French language.
If you can help with donations of medical training aids, or French medical textbooks and materials, please contact me or Congo Helping Hands.
