Over the last decade, the world has changed dramatically. The world is not what it used to be.
Congo has changed in some ways. I have seen the introduction of mobile phones and laptops. These two tools have allowed the Bulape Hospital to stay close.
Congo has NOT changed in other ways. The job is not done and far from it. Maternal mortality and child mortality is still a big problem. Safe and clean water sources is still a problem. Malaria is still a problem.
Experts do not expect Congo to meet the Millennium Development Goals established about 10 years ago.
